Default Tube question

Regarding the "all metal" tubes series by RCA,
can anyone tell me if there was ever a metal version
of the 6SN7?
I cannot find any reference on the web.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK no metal 6SN7 tubes were ever made. Metal tubes
were announced about 1935. The idea was that they were
self-shielding. For a time the use of these tubes in radio
sets was advertised as meaning they were the most up to date
designs.
In comparision to glass envelope equvalent tubes metal
tubes generally have slightly higher inter-electrode
capacatance and also sometimes had problems with sealing.
