There are several equally efficient dipoles on the market; Alpha-Delta
DX-EE, WA2Nan's Tru-Talk, Par Electronics End-Fed half wave, Cobra
UltraLite Senior or the G5RV's that are manufactured by both Antennas
& More, as well as HF Antennas.

I've just noticed that Antennas & More produces what they call their
"OmniLoop", which is 560' long.

Each antenna will easily fit on the property, but I was hoping that your
personal experience with one of these could help me finally decide.

Good Morning Alain,

You did not say if your interests lie in DX Or Local on 160M? But for
general 160-10m uses it will be hard to beat the big loop. I had one up
for many years 540 feet around , but feed it with open wire and a good
balanced tuner. On 160m it's not that good for DX but I worked some
anyway. put it up horizontal and on all bands from 80 to 10 meters
you'll have a pretty good Dx antenna. Not as good as a beam but for
general overall use. If Dx is you main interest on 160m Put up a 170'
Inverted L , use an auto tuner at the base , make the vertical section
as high as possible and but alot of radials on on just under the ground.

Those would be my two choices. and Antennas that have worked for me
very well over the years. You may want to check out Cebik's wonder
sight on the web also. These antennas are easily home brewed. So why
pay big buck for the commercial one when you can build them your self.
