Default Tale of the Cursed Radio(s)

Has anybody out there have something like this ever happen to them:

In early February, I ordered an Eton E1XM, which I received a week
later (the week of the 12th), only to discover that it had a problem
(three of the buttons occasionally did not work - not a good thing
when the buttons control things like bandwidth). (Some of you may
remember me posting something about this about a month ago.)

Anyway, I call the company that sold it to me, and I am told to send
it back and they will replace it; it gets there on the 22nd. A week
later, I call them back asking about it, and am told, "We'll have the
replacement sent out to you next week." The following Friday (March
9), I call again, and their response is, "It (the radio I sent them)
is on the bench awaiting testing." "Didn't you say you'd send me a
new one?" "We can do that if you wish." Three days later, I call
them again with a question about how they would ship it. "Er, we
can't seem to find the paperwork in our system to get it out - can I
call you right back?" Two days (and no return phone call) later (now
it's March 14), it's gotten to, "We're testing the new one right now;
it will be shipped today." I get a little worried when the promised
UPS E-mail doesn't show up the next morning as expected, but it shows
up that afternoon, as apparently something kept them from getting it
out until the next day.

The UPS notice says it should arrive on the 21st. On the 21st, I
check the online status: "We are unable to deliver the package because
we are unable to determine the correct address. UPS is attempting to
solve the problem." I call them up, and it turns out that the address
does not have the apartment (well, townhouse, but USPS says to use
"apt" for townhouses and condos for some reason) number on it. I give
them the information, and the next day, the radio is waiting for me on
my doorstep - and, on the same side of the box as the UPS address
sticker, is the purchase invoice, where it clearly shows my address,
complete with apartment number...

Dear Don,

Is the replacement satisfactory? Obviously you do not wish to name the
dealer, but would U-R have any connection with it?

Best,
