A fellow ham gave me 5 Icom U12 commercial radios, which I'd like to put
on the 440 MHz ham band. Upon inspection, they are dead ringers for the
old IC-4AT series of transceivers (even have silk-screened outlines for
the three mini switches on the back). I need a schematic and PCB layout
so I can move them down about 10 MHz.
Thanks,

As I remember there were two versions of the U-12, one did 450 to 460
MHz and the other did 460 - 470 MHz. To move them you will need to
change crystals at the very least.
I worked at Icom America for 11 years I never looked into what it
would take to move other than the crystals.
Though the same PLL board was used I don't remember the differences
off hand between the U-12 and 4AT, seem to remember they are not as
close as they look to be.
