Have a strange problem with Sangean DT200V. Radio is great but I can

With newer and higher current AA's (eg., Sony 2500 MaH) radio don't

As long as the voltage of the batteries is the same, it should make no
difference. Does it have a charger built in for NiMH batteries as well?
