Look at the Date of the article....... April 1, 2001....... Hmmmmm.
I think that most of us HAVE realised that the article IS a bit of a
spoof. Some just took a bit longer than others.
However, cooling the coax WILL reduce the thermal noise generated in it
and WILL also reduce its loss. Am I wrong, but in radio astronomy, don't
they sometimes minimise the noise figure by cooling the LNB and the
feeder with liquid nitrogen? Again, please correct me if I'm wrong.
