WTD: Photo, measurements of Halli SX-28 dial lock lever
Hello,
First, I'd like to thank those who have helped me gather many of the
parts needed to put my 'modified' SX-28 back into order. I have nearly
everything now.
I have purchased parts for the dial lock, less the lever handle. The
lever handle appears to be over an inch long, made of brass, have a
flat knurled (texture grooving to help with grip) section at the end,
and is threaded and screwed into the compression cam. All I have is
photos I took during NEAR-Fest of an SX-28A as a guide. I would like
to try and machine a replacement, but I need more information.
Could somebody take a look at their SX-28 or -28A and tell me the
following:
1. Is the lever handle screwed into the compression cam? What
threading (2-56, 4-40, 6-32) is on the end?
2. What material is the handle made of?
3. Is the knurled section flat on both sides? Or is it rounded on the
end?
4. Could somebody take a closeup photo of the handle, separated from
the dial lock?
5. Could somebody take measurements of the handle, particularly the
length of the knurled section, the shaft section, the threaded section
(if it exists) and the diameter of the knurled section and shaft.
I am willing to trade parts for the information.
