Well of course.. people have been running dipoles for years.
I've heard few negative comments about dipoles though.
Are people having trouble running those these days?

As usual... A big nada...
I see links, but nothing from you, except a link to this post
already...
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search
Most rational people give a direct link to whatever it is they are
pawning off to the public... Not a google search adventure.
Actually here in Tejas, they usually describe directing people to
something like that as "sending people on a turdhunt". :/
You have to realize that most rational people out in google land that
use
the name "gaussian antenna" are talking about a whole different animal
than whatever it is you are talking about. Links to their jibber
jabber is
not useful to your cause. Please reboot and try again.
BTW, how would an "English" gaussian array differ from say
a "French" gaussian array? Do they make "Indonesian" gaussian arrays?
Would they have inferior efficiency vs an "English" gaussian array?
How bout "Australian" gaussian arrays? Do they cluster backwards,
and a few hours ahead of everyone else? Would those work better
if you poured some of that nasty tasting Fosters beer on them?
Demented minds wanna know the answers to these imposing
questions.
