This subject is really rediculous. Analog tv signals will end in less
than a year so you either have to upgrade your tv OR get a digital
converter box and then watch tv programs that won't fill the screen.
For those who have cable or satellite, you will have a few years more
to go before you will also have to upgrade, but in the meantime, more
and more hdtv programs will NOT fill your old tv's screen. OF COURSE
people will upgrade to an HDTV before an HD Radio. If and when there
is an announcement that analog radio signals will cease on a certain
date, people will rush to buy an upgraded digital radio.
Your observation only amounts to your dad using common sense. IF your
dad's Bose system becomes obsolete and useless, I am sure he will also
upgrade to a digital radio.
Really. This is a no-brainer.
MY BOSE WAVE RADIO RANT -by- RHF
The AM Tuner in the Bose Wave Radio SUCKS !
I could only get the one local AM Radio Station
on it : KVML 1450 kHz} and KCBC 770 kHz in
Oakdale, CA with good Audio.
Sacramento, CA - KSTE 650 kHz and KFBK 1530 kHz
where just audible; but not listenable.
Modesto, CA - KFIV 1360 kHz and KESP 970 kHz
had very poor audio.
SF Bay Area, CA - KCBS 740 kHz and KGO 810 kHz
where just audible; but not listenable.
The Bose Wave Radio's FM Tuner was OK -but-
Once Again the AM Tuner SUCKED !
