(a) -If- you are currently inside the Boston Metro Area
and you are using a standard Analog FM Radio with it's
built-in FM Antenna and have good FM Radio 'Stereo'
Signal Reception for the Music and Voice FM Radio
Stations that you like to Hear. Then most of the basic
AM/FM HD-Radios using a simple Folded Dipole Antenna
should give you a good quality Digital FM HD-Radio
signal.
Here are two AM/FM HD-Radios
that are Price around $100~130.
RadioShack - Accurian(tm) Tabletop HD Radio

- What are the lowest cost tabletop or boombox type radios
- or setups available around the Boston area for both sirius
- and xm satellite radio services?...

- Among a few references checked so far

(b) Direct Satellite Radio Broadcasting is either "XM"
or SIRIUS : One Receiver will not do both at this time.
Price : Under $100 Stand-a-Lone BoomBox type Radios
with Dual Power : AC and Batteries.
Good - Belkin Boombox Audio System

Better - Timex XM-Ready AM/FM Clock Radio TMX1
http://store.xmfanstore.com/timex.html
-Note- XM Ready means it takes a 'standard'
XM Tuner-Antenna Module to receiver and play
XM Satellite Radio.
+ Audiovox XM Passport Mini-Tuner Receiver
and Home Kit CNP-2000B
http://store.xmfanstore.com/xmpassportbundle.html
These Modules are "The Future" of DBS Radio.
and someday all US Radios will be "XM/Serius Ready"
along with IBOC HD-Radios all in one package.
