Only life threatening emergency care - otherwise if you are "stable" and
not life threatening - out you go (unless, of course you can afford to
pay their "cash" price *up front*). Sherry and I are both covered by
blue Cross - both recently had surgery - two different hospitals. They
"estimated" what they thought would be the amount *after insurance*
(co-pays, deductibles, etc.) and required that BEFORE we were admitted
the day of surgery. And yes - by the time I got into surgery - I was in
a life threatening condition...
