WD4JKH came up with modified firmware that allows manual frequency setting
from the front panel for the S990 control heads. There is some info on
it on http://www.kb0nly.net/s950_s990_modifications.html. I downloaded
the binary and burned a bunch of EPROMS, but find I have burned about twenty
more EPROMs than I have radios.
So if you have a GE Delta set with an S990 head, give me a ping and I will
send you one of the things. I'd like to trade for a microphone or handset
for the Deltas, but I'd take a couple bucks instead and if you can convince
me you're a starving college student or something, I'll just send you one.
They seem to work fine.
