Thousands being let-go, as CCU hides the news under Obama's election.
CCU and the rest of terrestrial radio is dying, with ad revenues down
now 50%. Next, they will pull the plug on IBOC, with not ROI afters
years of poorly-made investments! IBOC only served to line the pockets
of those iBiquity scammers! iBiquity started the layoffs, and now owes
$300,000 to the State of Md.!
From radio-info.com
The news continues to trickle in about Clear Channel cuts. In
programming, R. Dub, PD of Urban AC KHHT “Hot 92.3” Los Angeles, is
out … Jamillah Muhammad, PD of Urban AC WMXD Detroit, has left the
building … On air personalities confirmed out include Lisa Thomas,
long-time midday lady on Hot AC KDMX “Mix 102.9” Dallas, and top 40
WIOQ “Q102” Philadelphia morning co-host Diego Ramos … In Washington,
D.C., Radio-Info hears that a general sales manager and four local
sales managers were fired, along with many account executives .. In
Greenville-Spartanburg, SC, there’s a report that 16 people were
riffed this morning .. And in Columbus, Ohio, WTVN producer and host
Ben Johnson
More than sales staffers are reportedly gone in Louisville, including
two who'd been sellers for more than 20 years. There’s a report in to
Radio-Info out of Orlando, that perhaps 30 sales-related people are
gone from the cluster there. And in Washington, D.C., DCRTV.com
reports that four local sales managers and one GSM are victims of the
corporate-ordered cutbacks today, along with many account executives.
In Minneapolis, programmer Mary Gallas is gone at country “K102” KEEY
… in Madison, Wisconsin, PD Tyler Reese is out at WMAD … In Atlanta –
Along with WGST-AM (640) PD Randall Bloomquist, Imaging Director Adam
Schneider was also cut loose … In Washington, DC, DCRTV.com says WWDC-
FM (101.1) GSM Collin Campbell & WMZQ-FM (98.7) morning show producer

Traffic producer Brian DeMasi was cut loose … Fort Myers, Florida
cluster OM Louis Kaplan was handed a pink slip … And at CC-owned
Premiere Prep, New York-based producer Elle Castro is out.
You get the idea.. more cuts to follow
Flip the switch and let the syndicated programmers rule the world..
I guess the largest radio group won’t be pouring more resources into
HD..
Expect the same strategies from the clones of Clear Channel and the
idiots across the street.
It's another sad day for radio. Who knew there's more mean left on the
bone to scrap off..
