Maybe it's just me, but I like shortwave for the incredibly biased
"news" broadcast by all sorts of kooks and cranks.

As others have suggested, the most likely guess is Alex Jones, just on
the basis of sheer volume of airtime.

Could you describe the show's format a little more? More than one
host? Guests? Were they selling anything (gold)?

I can throw out some more names if you have some more details.

You need to tune into Alex---why? well if half the stuff he says is
true-then dang we are in deep crap.

of its call. This recording is what I think about when reading a certain
individuals posts to put them into perspective.

Apparently the laughing Kookaburra doesn't like classic tube radios.
This dislike most likely extends to any radio. The Kookaburra probably
finds them to confusing to operate or maybe it just doesn't like the
aural competition. He probably thinks we are all radio nerds.
