I was thinking about buying the ETON E1. Is it a good shortwave radio?
Is it better than the SONY ICF-2010? I want to DX with it like my 2010.
Is the signal stability really good? Is the stock antenna pretty decent?
I just want to know what you guys think. If you say it's a good
shortwave, i might buy it. jacob
If I buy another portable that will be the one. There is plenty of
info all over the net about that particular piece. There's a few guys
in here that own one, I'm sure someone will give you a holler. I am
sure you won't be dissapointed in it:-)
I'm pretty happy with mine. Not crazy about having to pay another
$100-200 for the XM head and antenna.. but then, I'm not where I can get
XM anyway, and not likely to be in the foreseeable future. The MW/SW is
excellent and great audio.
The XM part is around $40.
Definately a lot cheaper than when I bought my E1, then. The "cheap"
adapter head was $100 and the "deluxe" was $200. And that was with a lot of
shopping around and price comparisons. Maybe I'll have another look.
