What would be considered a fair price
to have a Hammarlund 129X with the
Heathkit Q- Multiplier recapped and a
new power chord put on it.
I've found a local fella that said he would
do it for a good price. He has some real nice and real old :-) BCB
tube radios ie;
Zenith and some floor consoles available
for pretty reasonable prices.
If he does a good job on my Hammarlund
I think I may take one of his consoles off
his hands. I've always wanted a big
floor console. :-) Brenda Ann?
Don't know what you're asking for my comment on. *I have no idea what a fair
price for a full recap would be.. you know how I work (at a loss,
generally..
)
Love those old Zenith (and Philco) consoles. *I have a nice Philco 39-116
here, complete with the LF wireless remote. That was fun.. had it shipped
broken down into something like 40 pieces (mostly cabinet, but the dial
mech, speaker, tubes and chassis were all shipped separately as well). Took
me something like 2 months to reassemble all of it, after reworking the
chassis. Darn fine performer, though.
I just threw in your name..........just because. :-D

You should see some of his radios, really nice.
I'll throw you a link later today to your email.
