I am looking for a program for Windows Vista so that you can record sound
when there is sound. I've tried several (eg scanrec) but you should speak
directly into the microphone for recording the sound. If the source is 2
meter away, the sensitivity of the input signal has to be so high that the
noise of the microphone itself is being recorded. That is not what I want
but maybe I am doing something wrong. So I'm looking for something that is
voice activated, but also works when the source a few feet away. Maybe by
setting a range of frequencies which have to be recorded.
