Default DIY antenna that works like MTM Loop Antenna

One thing: the MTM loop antenna doesn't need a connection to the AM
radio. That web-page, if I read it correctly, said you only needed to
put the radio next to the loop antenna.


That will work if that's what you want to do. The radio's ferrite
antenna replaces the 2 turn pickup loop. If you want to be able to do
both, include the pickup loop anyway.

Hi there,
I have had some experience with BCB boosters and found that it works
best with a long wire coupled to a loop that is grounded. The radio I
was using had a built in antenna wound inside the case and the untuned
loop coupled very nicely to the radio. With a ferrite rod inside the
radio it might not work so well.
Just an idea for you to play with.
