Of course, but not by the 70+ crowd at Alpine Village in the
harbor gateway area south of Los Angeles.
What's disturbing is that the song has such a pleasing melody. Then
you read the English translation of the lyrics (my German is poor) and
it's even more disturbing to admit you enjoyed the melody! It truly
was a Nazi anthum. Wessel was also, unfortunately, credited for the
melody, though some historians dispute this, saying it was a much older
folk song.
