EAST COAST HURRICANE ALLEY 50kw MW STATIONS
If you want to hear local hurricane coverage and enjoy the challenge
of MW DXing, here's a list of MW 50kw flamethrowers along or near
hurricane Irene's projected path.
Stations marked ND have non-directional antennas, and are probably
the easiest to hear.
Those marked DIR have directional patterns (at least at night)
with at least some lobes pointing other than purely east.
Those marked DIR* have directional patterns (at least at night)
that point east.
However, IIRC, the FCC may allow some DIR stations to
broadcast a non-directional pattern during disasters such as
hurricanes.
