I'd like to build a 6m SSB amp that uses about 10-14
watts of drive and delivers at least 100w.

Anyone know of plans online for one?

Chris, G3WOS has a very well documented compact design using the Eimac 8877

Plenty of power.

GAD the cost of that bottle!
A Svetlana 4CX800 is a LOT cheaper.
Many would recommend the 4Cx400A for the power level he wants
but you can (strangly enough) buy the 4CX800's for about the
same price as the 4CX400As. These tetrodes are usually run
passive grid driven (IE: 50 ohm grid resistor) but they can
also be run cathode driven. NOTE: this does not mean grounded
grid since both grids receive normal dc voltages are are grounded
ONLY for RF (IE: with capacitors).
BTW you can do the same thing with good old 4CX250's and 4X150's
if you can find good ones cheap surplus.
