They blamed Sanyo for the defective display, but the radio has ICOM written across the front. I'm on the 2nd display now, it's an expensive radio with no support from the factory for a KNOWN problem...known to them. Folks should remember things like this when it comes time to plunk down their hard earned $$ for an expensive radio.

What do you consider expensive?
Icom - I can barely Monitor - you get what you paid for!
You should have known that it was a POS before you bought it.
Hey, guess what? ICOM did the exact same thing with the 746 PRO.
A recall that would have cost them a couple of thousand dollars, but would have did a lot to fix the collateral damage that they did when they never admitted that there was a problem in the first place and quietly walked away, changed the design and the model number and brought it right back again in a different looking package.
The 756 is nothing but an over-glorified CB radio.
It attracts those that are attracted to different colored lights and blinking displays! The cool factor - you got what you paid for! You might have just as well bought a new Galaxy from Redmans CB shop - with the peek n tune.
Lord knows you got to have a dead key and swing and LOUD audio..
Next time buy a Kenwood TS 590 - they don't have all these problems!
