That is true. You can just barely see those twin half-moon dials in one of the
photos in the book.

Though you have to wonder how many A and B batteries it took to run that set!
Bet there was no other "ballst" on that big raft.

Most pre-war Hammarlund rx manuals have diagrams showing how to hook up
batteries. Yep, a 20-tube Super-Rpo 400. Wonder how many minutes it could run
