Wrong. Kirk knows Morse.

There was the original ST episode where they find the "sleeper ship" contianinf
Kahn (Ricardo Montelban) and all his crew in hibernation from the 21st century,
and proceed to wake them up.

They find the sleeper ship by means of its radio beacon, which is sending CQ
over and over. Uhura (didja know she only had the one name?) of course knows
what it says and starts reading it for Kirk, but he says "I'm reading it too,
Lieutenant".

Then, there was the film "Fantastic Voyage"
