Remember TITANIC had sunk because CW
was used. If SSB was used, the ship
has been saved.

Yes, it's an obvious troll. However, the sinking was a direct result
of multiple human errors rather than any technological breakdown.
Other radio modes would not have made a difference. For radio to be
any good somebody has to turn it on, and do something with the
information received.

The Marconi ops delivered at least six ice warnings to Captain Smith
but he did not order a reduction in speed or change of course.
Although it was a moonless calm night, the lookouts did not have
binoculars. Etc. The list goes on and on.

Sister ships Olympic and Britannic were modified after the Titanic
loss, but Britannic was lost after striking a mine in the Med while
serving as a hospital ship. Olympic ("Old Reliable" to her crew)
served 25 years, including WW1 service as a troop ship, and wound up
being scrapped.

The Titanic disaster serves as an object lesson of how even the best
available technology cannot prevent all possible disasters due to
human error. IOW, there's no cure for stupid.
