(snip) We have to try to keep up with California.

Have you noticed even the press has had a hard time keeping a straight
face when talking about the California recall vote? First, we have a midget
who insists he's the protest vote. Then, we have oversized guy who still
can't say his name properly after living in the country for decades. And
then we have a cross-dresser certain to bring a new sense of fashion
consciousness to the job. And we can go on and on. This is turning out to be
one of the wackiest elections I've ever seen.

This is something no one wins. First we have a power grab by the
Repub's who have figured out that in any election, it will be possible
to get enough names on a petition to force a recall. I hope they realize
they opend a Pandora's box, and for what? Governing a state that they
were partially involved in making a major mess?
They are so desperate to get someone in office, that they are trying to
elect a Republican who is more like a Democrat than anything else.

The Dems, instead of fielding a smart team in case the recalll comes,
have put together a list of clowns that are a true embarassment to
democracy, leaving the one serious contender with the election plan from
hell, that is to vote for no recall, but vote for me in case there is.

To think that the next Gov. there might be elected with only a few
percent of the vote.

Makes me proud I'm a registered Independent.

I wonder if there is going to be a recall on the governer elected in
the recall vote... if there is a recall....
