small mobile antenna suggestion?

I'm looking for a small mobile antenna for the 2m & 70cm bands. If it
could
also cover the 6m band that would be great.I want it to have a PL259
connector to be able to use it with my existing magnet mount. In
addition, I would like it to be quite short (less than 30cm/12in) or
be able to fold it somehow, so that I can park my car (SUV) in the
basement.

Can anyone suggest a specific model?

thanks,
Andreas

Since you are willing to fold over an antenna why not use a full size
antenna that you can disconnect.

Tho not always true, "short" and "good performance" rarely go hand in hand. If
you're willing to fold over, look at the Comet SB15 or the Diamond equiv....my
SB15 has around 100K miles on it, works great, excellent performance (both FM
and SSB) for a vertical and folds over for those nasty parking decks. Ford was
SO nice to put in an antenna holder on their SUVs (company vehicle)....it is
called the rear window wiper....

Now, to get the wife to allow me to put one on the new Mini....with a
screwdriver on the other side. Hmmm, think the ATAS120 might
work...mini-screwdriver for a Mini.....

Thanks for the comments everyone!

I'm aware of the performance issues for short antennas, but at least I won't
have to remove it to park my car in the garage :-)

How about the COMET B-10? Anyone using it?
Is there anything similar, around the same size with a little better
performance?

thx,
Andreas
