Painting antenna against corrosion
Hello,
Will painting a TV antenna with latex hurt reception at all? I have a problem with corrosion. Jan |
Jan,
It should have no affect on reception. I'm not sure a latex type paint would be the 'best' for weather proofing metal, but if it's what you have... 'Doc PS - A bright pink would be pretty! |
latex has a porus surface water wets and goes through it, corrosion
continues and will discolor, less so with a gloss. Outside is more of a problem than inside. You could just use a laquer or epoxy spray paint, most all paints are non conductive.
