Hi Sarah, you don't need Morse code to become a ham. A good percentage
of hams don't know Morse code. How about you get your Tech license first?
The Tech license doesn't require code. Then you can decide what to do next.

You don't need morse code to get a ham licence anymore, but if you want to
learn code, I could reccomend SuperMorse or NuMorse This is what worked for
me.

Good luck, and I hope to run into you on the air one day.

I like morse code. My dad not done it in 10 yars. He is learning it agin. He
is learning really fast. I do not like his program. I want to build my on
radio.I saw a one tube radio I think I can build if dadd helps. What is a
807? I built a trnsistor blinker in 4H.Daddy calls it a multivibater. I put
all the parts on the board and solered it by myself. It worked the first
time.I learned to solder helping mom and dad make stianed glass stuff.
solder is fun.My friend Jenifer is learning code to. Her dad hams too. Jenny
says that is all he ever does.Mom says time to go to bed.

Sarah
Your Pa is right, it's best to learn code if you want to become a good Ham
Operator. It really isn't that hard to learn. It's a lot of fun and you
never know when it will be needed for emergencies or contests. Go ahead and
get your Tech if you want first and then go for an upgrade. You'll need to
know code then.
Good luck.

Sarah:

Start the program. Click on Setup. In the lower right of the new window
there is a checkbox labeled Use Windows Callback. Uncheck the box. Click ok.
that did the trick for me.
