Djvu is free, and the manuals I've looked at with djvu have been good.
What's the problem?

Try to download the HT-40 manual from BAMA and you can see yourself what is the
problem! Simply useless.

Many of the Dejavu manuals are of such low resolution
that its impossible to read values or even see the
schematics clearly. FWIW, there are encoders to make PDF's
available free and the Adobe Acrobat reader is free from the
Acrobat site. I use PDF Creator, it appears on your computer
as a printer. Any document that can be printed can be made
into a PDF. While this freeware does not have the
versatility and editing capabilities of the full Adobe
program it works very well and produces high resolution
documents.
I don't want to be criticizing BAMA, I think its an
extraordinarily valuable site, however, some of the manuals
are truly unreadable.

Hello Tony,

Yes, I have one. It's a PDF file about 5.5 mb, can your email accept it? If
not, I can put it up on my web site for you to download. Let me know what I
should do.

August Johnson KG7BZ

I downloaded it with no trouble, and the manual looks good except the
schematic is a POS. Not a djvu problem - it's a bad copy job.

Don

you are lucky man. On my PC the resolution is so bad that I cannot read text
neither on the screen nor on paper. Neverheless I can read fairly well other
djvu manuals. It depends on the selected degreee of compression.

BAMA does a GREAT job by hosting the manuals. Perhaps one could criticize those
uploading the manuals that evidently do not verify quality after scanning.

Is it posted anywhere I can snag for a new upload to BAMA? It would be nice
to fix problems as they are found.
