The buy:

The sell:

The pitch:
I am pleased to bring to you for sale this very rare National NC-57M
Communications Receiver in exceptional condition. It is a beautiful
receiver certainly very worthy of being called "Collectors Condition".

I imagine it is poor business economics to sell an item back into the
very same market that you have just bought it in unless you have added
value to it by improvement or a more accurate description which shows
it to be a more valuable item than the original vendor recognised.

Mind you I think mis-representation or use of hidden bidders without
good reason is unethical - I would never bid where the latter applies,
but it can be hard to recognise the former.

Unless you add some shill bidding to the mix to drive up the price.

I have heard so much bad about this guy so I just had to go and check
out his auctions and feedback. I will truthfully have to say I don't
find him as bad as I was led to believe by the posts I have read about
him. Yes I expect he is not 100 % honest but then how many of you can
truthfully say you are ? I see an awful lot of his customers are very
satisfied. I also see a few buyers that I would not want to do business
with. With the business that this guy does he has to end up with a few
bad customers that will never be happy no matter what you do to make
them happy. Yes like all deals be careful. I would buy from this guy
before I would buyer from a lot of other Ham's I know. A person needs
to be careful with everyone they are dealing with these days it seems.

Yes I expect he does some stuff that should get him kicked off eBay.
With the business that he why he think he needs to play games I will
never understand.

Just my two cents worth,

His "added value" is pure hype.

Whoever this guy is, he has more nerve than Jesse James (the outlaw
one). He calls this beautiful and in excellent cosmetic shape:

I also liked the part about some guy told him it worked well, but he really
hadn't tested it, so it's probably in good condition. This isn't an auction,
it's a test of faith!

Yeah, especially with the vibrator missing.

Says he is selling off his "personal collection" of over 400 pcs of Gonset
gear, but "somebody" told him it works good?
