I revisited the model 4 a few years back. Someone tossed one at a hamfest and I took it home. Most of the software was locked into the 198X years. They knew from the beginning that you had to sell new software all the time. Unfortunately it died some weeks later. So fix it. 90% of the problems on those things have to do with bad capacitors and connectors, and they are very easy to work on. Not a lot of actual interconnects either. Shotgunning electrolytics may well fix it right up. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

I'm seeing quite a few of the old Radio Shack electronic kits at flea
markets and swap meets this year and, surprisingly, going very cheap. "M. Kassay" wrote in message ... Hi, Im looking for any old Radio Shack Science fair kits... |

The local Radio Shack "Computer Center" dedicated store back in the mid 80s
was nothing like this. The staff was snotty and arrogant. They didn't assist with making a purchase... you either bought quickly and expensively or out you went. Since they were the only game in town and had most TRS-80 items in stock unlike the regular stores, you just had to live with it. "Ronny Julian" wrote in message ... I learned computers thanks to Robin. The store manager at the local RS at the mall. She let me come in every day after school and do whatever I wanted on a model 3 or model 4 computer. |
