LMFAO!! Hate that!

Hey btw I'm liking the sound of those vintage elctro voice mics, ever
try one? Kinda bass sounding but I like that sound in the pile.

Yes the Electro Voice Mic's worked GREAT! Had one hooked up to my
Johnson Viking Valant Transmitter. Had broadcast quality audio. I know
that there are mic equalizers out there that can adjust the different
bands in the audio voice band. To make what ever mic you have hum like
you want it too.

You have to play with the thing to get it to where you want it tho. I
like a low base response, and a ever so slight echo. Going to work one
day as the sun was coming up I heard a station in Fla skip in to
California, his signal was neck and neck with the noise, but he had a
slight echo and I could copy every word he said.

Sop I would have a Electro Voice mic with one of those **** hot
equalizers, and a echo board in the mic. But thats just me.

Yeah they have a unique kinda sound..and them suckers are pretty COOL to
look at! I talk to a guy outside of Detroit from time to time that runs an
elctro-voice 640 iirc straight to a kenwood 430, and his audio cuts right
though the pile everytime. He gets tired of the compliments with it. I
dunno but I been told elctro voice is mighty bold! hehe

Hey btw I got that 520SE working, we had to replace the band-switch..I hear
that was a common problem on those rigs so no surprise. That radio is set
for a high impedance vintage studio boom mounted mic of some sort, with
those tube finals.

Tube finals into a tube amp usually makes for fairly good audio, right?

Hello Steveo:

Worked on putting up a Tower and antenna today out by Victorvile Ca,
there a bunch of guys there, got sun burned and all. But the antenna is
up and humming.

Yeah that high impedance mic should work well with the that older hi Zo
input. Worth a try Id say.

I was ah thinkin about making a custom made mic head that would fit on
the D-104 Mic stands, UG8 or 9 or something like that. Something that is
large with ribs or fins, like a 59 Cadalack, something out of the 1950's
looking type ah thing. Have bright LED's lights and be able to switch to
a few different mic cartridges for different sounds.

Yeah it still isn't much around there. Have to go in Parblossum to
Billey Bobs restaurant for good food and the best old movie photos I
have ever seen. We use to go there ever other Saturday morning for
breakfast. I loved the furnace there with the gas pipe coming out of the
ceiling feeding it.
