That's not really fair, JJ. 'The CB mindset' is a wide paint-brush.

And Thank you for not doing so. It shows a wisdom that
some can't fathom--they want it ALL! I don't agree with
"freebanding", but I am not here to debate that. You are
smart to avoid the ham frequencies simply because 1) the
bands are usually busy and someone is likely to hear you,
and 2) if you are heard, they WILL report it. As a part of the Amateur
Service, there is a concept of self-policing. Yep, there are what are called
"Official Observers" (appointed by ARRL), and individual hams that *may*
report any "bandits" on the frequencies The
more intellectual minds among us understand that the hams are only trying
to protect what is their own "turf".
Such a simple principle: stay OUT of the ham bands, and
the hams aren't likely to bother you.

I betcha you'll get pretty wakeful.

If you aren't operating out of band, don't worry about it
and go back to sleep.

NOPE!

The group is welcome to read the thread concerning HOAs in another group.
We were talking about home-
owners' associations. Kindly point the folks to the WHOLE thread instead of
taking liberties with what
one says in another context.

But then, paranoia seems to reign amongst those of your compatriots who
throw insults and feeble putdowns if anyone threaten their theft of
frequencies.

You forgot the word "Thar"! LOLOLOLOL!!

His little attempt at insulting my local area seems to have
backfired, eh? Wonder how he liked the part about his
Freightliner being built about 9 miles from here. He sure
got quiet. LMAO!

Different when you're the camera target? You might be sucking
too many diesel fumes, after following those Kenworth's so much.

Why do you lump all CBer's in the same basket, Jerry? That's
like saying all ham operators are the same. Seem fair?

Uh, I don't think I did. I only referred to those who are
boldly trespassing on someone else's turf. I thought I was
very nice to Dr. Death.

Right now, if you haven't noticed, I've been jerking "gw's"
chain and enjoying his responses.

See ya,

Jerry
