control tones on FRS

Hi Group,

Any one know if it is legal to transmit control tones on the 27MHz CB band or
the FRS band around 467 MHz?

Basically interested in using standard DTMF tones to control some devices
around the house.

DTMF IS legal. However, only in tone operated squelch control. Insofar as
use as a remote control, this may be against regs, as this does not fit the
criteria of allowed one-way communication.
