Weller makes junk better than your junk by maybe 40-50 dB.
Thanks for your unsolicited opinion.

Harold, I have no affiliation with Hexacon... or do I sell their
equipment. However, we do use their equipment... and it has proven to
be much more reliable than Weller stuff. I guess you get what you pay
for. Not surprising I guess.

I was commenting on your speech compressor not the equipment you use to
build it.

If you had read the other posts, some denegrating the Weller company, you
would have read a comment of mine that explains my use of Weller products
for over 60 years. That includes personal use of several models of their
irons as well as the industrial use of Weller irons and guns by my employees
in a manufacturing environment. I HAVE used a few other irons, a favorite
being the Antex for SMD work. I suspect that, unless you're morbidly obese,
I have likely melted more solder pounds than you weigh and am particularly
offended, by people offering their unsolicited opinions on subjects they
know little about. Go build a compressor. Most of us these days, do it in
software with DSP.

Harold, I think you've been breathing too many solder fumes from that
Weller... lol

I'm sure it will not be any surprise, but you're signal is way below my
noise. Plonk.

Looking at some of your solder joints it shows you don't use a Weller,
perhaps you should?

I thought I was the only one to notice the over-cooked solder blobs. I do
better than that w/ lead-free solder on Rogers PCBs w/ my Weller solder
station. But then, I've been doing it for decades. And, while some other
brands have failed us repeatedly, I've seen only ONE Weller station have to
be tossed out. The way I see it, they're relatively inexpensive AND they
last.

I can't speak for others but, I don't work for any soldering equipment
manufacturer. Nor, do I sell any soldering equipment. And, no one I know
does.

You sure are sensitive. All I did was give my personal opinion of
Weller... just as you did. I happen to think they stink. Since you
got so riled about my honest review... I'll just assume that you know
that weller is cheap crap... and you're just mad because you bought
one. Plonk yourself... lol
