OK
What if a hypothetical homebrewer needed to create a slugged coil inductor for his homebrew receiver, and he wondered how many turns he would need to create a nominal inductance of 4.5uH? Suppose he found a ceramic form at Antique Electrical , a 1 5/8" size that was just perfect? (copy this in your browser) http://www.tubesandmore.com/images/inv/P-C210.GIF Where would that hypothetical homebrewer find how many windings he'd need? Most of the formulae he (that hypothetical homebrewer) found was directed it appeared to larger coils, like for crystal radio main coils. Can anyone point that hypothetical homebrewer to the right formulae? Thanks (on behalf of the hypothetical homebrewer) Tom |
