First thing you need to worry about is which vintage of MSF it is.
Look at the model number, specifically the 3rd-6th characters (all
letters). If they're "CLB," you will need the services of someone like
Brinkley Electronics to program a new EPROM for your frequencies of
choice.
If they're 'CXB,' you're better off in that the CXB series can be
programmed with Motorola's MSF5000 RSS. Runs about $75 or so from
Motorola, or there are folks (like me) who offer programming services.
The kicker with that, of course, is that you would have to be local to
me to get it done, and I don't think the '9' series calls show up
anywhere near the Seattle region. ;-)
In addition to RSS, assuming your station is a CXB model, you will
also need a 'RIB' (Radio Interface Box) and the appropriate cables. Lots
of details along these (and other) lines may be had from the Batlabs
