Do you think no-codes give the impression that ham radio is just a bunch of appliance operators? SC |

Code or no-code it's largely been a bunch appliance operators having
their "slam bam thank you mam" QRM contests for the last 15 years. The no-code situation is just going to exacerbate this. Just refer to it as "CB extra class!" F. Cathell K3YAZ Slow Code wrote: Do you think no-codes give the impression that ham radio is just a bunch of appliance operators? SC |

JS JS, why are ya putting up with the "BS"? Let's forget him and start using this group for what it was meant for. His comments are null and void. The argument is a horse killed many times over. This has been going on for "months". Time to move on. Nothing is going to change from this "crap" and besides, he has yet to prove to anyone - he even had/has a license. |

I've been a radio amateur for more than 39 years, and have known "appliance operators" of every license class. They are no more prevalent among Technicians than among any pther license class. |

I think that when we call anyone we should always identify our stations in CW. There is no requirement to use SSB to identify when on SSB. So, try using CW for all station ID requirements. BTW, I'll slow down to 20 wpm. Any interest? /s/ DD |

Depends. Have you built and operated any radio gear lately?

I couldn't think of anything for myself, so I hope I just get a some componants and a new soldering iron for projects so I can keep moving forward in ham radio. SC And spell check for your PC. :-) |
