Lennie has a long list of "been there-done that", however none of
it in Amateur Radio...Nope, not even a Novice Class license. He once
had several articles "published" in an Amateur Radio magazine, however
none of THOSE articles were actually ABOUT Amateur Radio. Seems
Lennie was SO FAR BEYOND anything his "professional peers had to offer
that they conspired to keep him from being professionally published,
ergo his only avenue to getting his name in print was "Ham Radio"
magazine. (yeah...right...)

That magazine went out of publication due to a lack of
readership.

By virtue of 15 years of night school and a GROL (First Phone in
those days) Lennie feels himself adequately qualified to tell those
who KNOW Amateur Radio on a day-by-day basis how they should be
conducting themselves. Kinda like a nun trying to teach kids about
safe sex and birth control...read a lot about it, but never been
there!

So as you read Lennie's scathing and insulting replies to
anything you may write now and in the future, just keep these things
in mind.

He's a second class jerk working hard at being a first class

The search for an H-33 handset took all of about 3 minutes, mostly

because of your age. By the time you were in the military, it had
been replaced with the newer H-250...which is now an obsolete
model. Obsolete or not, they all work the same and can handle
300 to 500 mW audio into the earpiece. The start of all military
handsets that could slip under a helmet edge began in the Korean
War and the PRC-9 series had provisions to clip the H-33 to the
backpack straps as a sort of speaker (enough to alert the carrier,
if not for intelligibility). That clip-on feature is retained today in
almost all police officer portable radios, the microphone being used
as a speaker when not transmitting.

Well, when you know so little of what once had been your military
career, you have to keep putting down others to raise your self-
esteem. We all know that too and can see it whenever you get on-
line to throw garbage at others.
