Default Help ID'ing/valuing unusual Climax tabletop

A visitor to my website provided these photos of an unusual Climax tabletop.
He says that someone called this the "Wizard of Oz" dial. A Climax collector
is offering him $3K for the set, which he is pondering. I don't see anything
about this set in my mediocre collection of radio literature, but what else
is new? No model number known.

My immediate reaction was, "For $3K I'd take the money and run!" How many
tabletops price in that range? But I really don't know anything about
Climax except that they made few radios and some of them had pretty way-out
designs for the time. I'm not crazy about this cabinet, but the dial
certainly draws attention.
