There's no indication of the total number of tubes, and given the limited number of tube types listed, there seems to be too few for a AM radio, let alone stereo FM. Perhaps just the audio stages are tubes, as they would have the biggest effect on the sound. The last time I saw a bar-type "magic eye" was on a tube Westinghouse tape deck of 45 years ago. |
