IIRC, the mica cap across it is 130pf. Total capacitance at it's current and
forever setting is ~210pf.

Nice cap... g Next time, put a ruler on the table near the item you
are taking a picture of so viewers can get an idea on the scale/size
of the part!

They sure don't make them like that today, do the? Ceramic, gold
plated, and probably huge! g

it's less than 1.5".

Sadly the second image never made it to my server... :-{ however, that
was a good guess on size!

This looks exactaly like a Hammarlund variable cap that I replaced in an
HQ-200 last year. You can still find these caps on eBay, if you have some
patience. Simply search for "Hammarlund" over a period of a couple of
weeks ... I'll bet you come up with one.
