For those of us that haven't acquired a nice Morris coil winder yet.
Makita variable speed drill, a cam and a pulse counter and an arbor. This is a late 30's GE radio antenna coil. Apparently it had been hit by lightning somewhere back in the distant past. The shortwave section was ok, but the broadcast band section wash charcoal. ROughly 250 turns so wound a bit more and will trim back as needed to make it resonate with the tuning cap. Jeff |
