M as in Meacham? If so, I just used your technique to restuff a pair
of Mershon caps today. However, I did something slightly different
for the terminals. A hammer tap knocks out the old aluminum bolt,
and I put quarter-inch steel bolts in with suitable rubber washers
inside. The new cap solders to the top of the bolt, so no hole
drilling in the bottom, and the Philco 90 keeps a couple of much-
needed terminals. Never saw so many flying solder joints as in
this radio.
