Zenith G730
Hello Folks,
We have this Zenith table radio (model G730) which needs some TLC. I do not have a schematic for it and can't seem to find one. I am wondering: a) if there might be one available, (I am willing to buy such a thing), or b) is this the same circuit as the C730 Zenith radio, for which I have a schematic. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Roger Howse |

but it's hard to tell if it's a walnut (veneer) cabinet like outs, due to the B&W picture. I'm betting the "C" means it's just a cherry-finished cabinet. I've used the C730 schematic years ago to re-cap my G730 and have had no problems. Due to the age of the radio, and unrelated to the schematic, my electrostatic tweeter died, and I replaced it w/a conventional tweeter w/crossover. (Even in 1979 replacement electrostaic tweeters were impossible to find.) There are at least a couple of these radios on uTube w/the original electrostatic tweeter apparently still functioning, so I feel slighted. I'm long overdo to replace the selenium rectifier, and have signs that it is surging the plate voltage in the audio stage (19T8 & 35C5), after it warms up. So that's next on the project list. By the way, what "axe" do you play ? |
