Is it safe to say that I will be able to receive channel 19 truckers
when driving on the interstate? That is one of the reasons I bought the scanner. Also, I seem to have trouble with the scanner stopping on frequencies that are motorola trunked in a bank. When I manually step through the channels I hear transmissions but when it is in scan it rarely ever stops on them. What am I doing wrong? |

After thinking about it for awhile I thought the same thing. The
scanner antenna is definately not even close to a CB walkie-talkie antenna. I figured if I change the antenna it should pick up 11 meters fine. I tested the scanner with a CB I have and it did receive, albeit I was transmitting within 20 feet of the radio. Also, the other day I managed to receive one of the channel 6 massive watt stations from who knows were. Thanks. List Administration wrote in message ... The antenna that comes with it is lousy on CB freqs. I used my pro-93 with a CB antenna and it received them great. |

Triple check all the frequencies in the trunk bank. I had this problem and
found that I had an incorrect frequency. "John Jenkins" wrote in message m... Is it safe to say that I will be able to receive channel 19 truckers when driving on the interstate?
