I've been into SW listening for a few years and am more or less new to
scanning. I have a non trunking scanner. I'm beginning to get the feeling that I'm missing a lot by not listening with a trunked unit. I really don't understand trunking and the google results I got didn't help much. Could someone please explain to me trunking transmissions, a trunking receiver and weather it's really worth it to have a trunking receiver to get in on the listening action. Also, with most things already or about to go digital, is it really worth it to invest in a trunking reveiver? Seems to me that digital will kill the casual listener. Maybe I'm wrong. That's why I request your input. TIA for your patience with my questions. |
