Pro-96 problem
I just picked-up a Pro-96 last weekend and today I was going through
the manual trying out different features. The feature I was trying out when I ran into a problem was the "weather alert demonstration." Before I go into the steps I followed to run into the problem, I must warn anyone who tries this that I locked-up the radio and the only way out was to wipe the memory. So if you try to reproduce this have a way to get your frequencies back into the radio. I had the radio in WX mode listening to the local weather broadcast. The manual says to press FUNC and hold down WX to activate the weather alert demonstration. However when I do this the demonstration never happens and the radio appears to be locked-up. Cycling the power doesn't get it out. Pressing the reset button on the side doesn't help either. The only way to restore the radio to normal operation is to do a factory reset (and loose all of your memory channels). Has anyone else noticed this problem? |
I've never put mine in demo mode but you might get a better answer on the
yahoo groups. Do a search for Pro 96 on the yahoo groups , there's like 5 of em! "Jon M. Hanson" wrote in message ...
