wireless doorbell

I am almost divorced, but I live pretty close to my (almost) ex-wife's house
house.
I would like to pick up the wireless door chime at her (really MY) old home.
I cannot seem to nail down the frequency. I've rung the doorbell and runaway
6 times now with my scanner to no avail.
One of my kids spotted me because she was parked in the driveway but I
failed to see her till after I rang the bell. Then our eyes met. It was
embarrassing as hell.
Anyway, I obviously can't keep trying that, plus the wife has a restraining
order.
I just think that it must be possible to hear her doorbell from at more than
1000 feet away.
That way, everyone is happy.

I've always been a home automation nut, so this is really mostly for
entertainment purposes.

Anyway, is this legal? It's still my house. Will it sound like a doorbell
on the scanner? Someone told me I can't divulge anything I hear.

Thanks

Try sticking a 12 volt battery up your ass, then swallow a half gallon jug of
warm salt water with a cup of hydrogen peroxide mixed in.
The resulting chemical reaction in your innards, oddly enough, will perfectly
replicate the frequency of your former door chime.
Turn your scanner on,hold it by your ass,and the next time you pass gas,the
scanner will auto-tune to the correct freq !

Hope this helps

LOL... you've always been a nut?!
You sound like one (a nut) doing things like that. Is it any wonder why
your wife has a restraining order out on you? You have to get yourself some
help.......

I think you better move on from this so called LAME project, and get a
life (get back on track) before you end up doing something really dumb that
ends you up in Jail or finding yourself not being able to be around your
children ever again in this life time.

What kind of man do you think your children will think of you, when they
catch you doing childish things like this? And why does it matter that you
need to know when her door-bell rings? Stalking people is a crime.......

Now that you have alerted me to your suspicions, your wife & I will be doing
it at my house from now on & I don't have a doorbell.

Good luck to you trying to listen to me ringing her bells now.

Dude, step up, what a child, wireless video is the way to go, it's easy to
hide a camera and record ALL happening at the wifes house. BTW I have been
seeing her so don't get ****ed when you see me and my boys coming over for
some fun!

Doorbell, doorbell......who needs the doorbell?....She gave me a key, and
now I'm doing a home improvement by hooking up 110 volts a.c. to the
doorbell button....Have fun *lighting up*.....

Seriously, if she has a restraining order, I can see why....Leave her alone
and keep the scanning hobby out of it. It's things like these that give all
scannerist a black eye.

What must your children think of you now? Daddy the *little kid*....

Yeah, we also had a lot of fun down at the range.

She was a little iffy at first, but she caught on quite nicely.

The 1911 is too much for her, but she really likes the Glock.

Restraining order? That's ok.

It only needs to last... what... (checks calendar) nine more days...
